Kevin Burke

I grew up in Iowa but made the move to Indianapolis in 2019 for school at IUPUI, and I’ve been home ever since. During my time there, I was a member of the men’s swim team while working toward my degree, and later my master’s, in biomedical engineering. That experience taught me discipline, time management, and how to stay focused on long-term goals.

After school, I started working as a production engineer in the diagnostics world, focusing on equipment validation and qualification. I still carry that analytical, detail-oriented mindset with me today, but I realized pretty quickly that something was missing. I wanted more connection with people and the opportunity to directly help them through some of the biggest decisions of their lives.

Real estate really clicked for me when I bought my first home in 2025. I went into it as both a homeowner and an investor, using the property as a house hack, and got to experience everything firsthand, the excitement, the stress, the inspection process, all of it. I learned a lot (some of it the hard way), but I ended up loving the entire process.

Now, I’m part of the Roots team, and what I enjoy most is sitting down with people, understanding what they’re really looking for, and helping them make confident, informed decisions. Whether it’s your first home or your next investment, I want to make sure you feel prepared every step of the way, and hopefully help you avoid some of the mistakes I had to learn through myself.

At the end of the day, I just enjoy helping people. Real estate has been a great outlet for that, and it’s something I take seriously with every client I work with.
