One of the city’s six cultural districts, and the one that has held onto its character the hardest. Virginia Avenue is the spine. The Murphy Arts Center anchors the north end with working studios and galleries, and the blocks around it are packed: Upland for a beer, Bovaconti for coffee, Howl & Hide for leather goods, and Monti for the new Italian everyone is talking about. You can walk the Cultural Trail from here to downtown without touching a car. We ran a Street Sweep on Virginia Ave back in May, so we have picked up literal trash on these sidewalks. It is a neighborhood we like a lot and recommend honestly. | ||
